In the Neoplatonic/Hermetic worldview the heavenly bodies were the essential link between the World of the Divine Ideas and the Material World. The astrologer uses these these sympathies and interconnections for the predictions using natal, mundane and horary astrology.
These types of traditional astrology focus on Fate: asking what will or has happened? Even electional astrology which allows us to choose astrologically propitious time to take action, like the other varieties of astrology, is essentially passive as the astrologer merely observes the action of the Divine ideas mediated through the Zodiacal powers on the material and sublunary realm.
A strological magic, however, through the construction of astrological talismans allows the mage or magical astrologer to directly affect and utilize the chains of sympathy and correspondence that permeate the Cosmos. By choosing an astrologically propitious times through electional astrology and constructing talismans with appropriate characters, signs, and symbols as well as appropriate fumigations, rituals and music, a wide variety of effects can be achieved.

The Mansions of the Moon are an ancient 28 fold division of the path of the Moon. The mansions are often considered to be a lunar Zodiac as they measure the daily progress of the Moon against particular fixed stars. Many of the Mansions are named after the fixed stars that indicate their boundaries. Because they are measured against the fixed stars the mansions differ from the phases of the Moon whose waxing and waning shows the relationship of the Sun and the Moon.
Originally the boundaries of the Mansions were sidereal (set by the fixed stars) and irregular, but at some point they became regularized and measured by a 1/28th of the 360 degree circle of the Zodiac. These reqularized mansions are called the tropical mansions. Here is a list of the Mansions and their sidereal and tropical boundaries.
The Mansions are an important part of astrological magic. The Picatrix, an important text of Arabic astral magic, lists a talisman for each Mansion. Here is the Picatrix Mansions List.

What Does the 26th Lunar Mansion Talisman Do?

The Picatrix says,

"The twenty-sixth Mansion is Alfarg Primus, and it is for the creation of love. When the Moon has passed into it, take white wax and mastic and melt them together; from these fashion the image of a woman with her hair unbound and before her a vessel placed as if to receive her hair. Cense it will sweet-smelling odors, and say: You, Tagriel, bring me to the love and friendship of such and such a woman. Place the image in a small bag, and place with it also some of the most sweet-smelling of substances; carry it with you, and it shall be completed as you have requested. And know that Tagriel is the name of the lord of this Mansion. "

How Is the the 26th Lunar Mansion Talisman Made?

The first step in making a the 26th Lunar Mansion talisman is to select a date and time when the Moon is in the 26th Lunar Mansion whose tropical boundaries extend from 21 degrees of Aquarius 25 minutes to 4 degrees Pisces and 17 minutes. We then place the Moon on the Ascendant and ensure that it is not combust or making bad aspects with the malefics, Saturn and Mars.
At our chosen time I melt together mastic and white wax and then use a brass seal specially engraved with the appropriate image of a woman to make a wax seal of the 26th mansion. I then place the seal in a red flannel bag with nine hoodoo love herbs, Rosebuds, Red Clover, Catnip, Lavender, Damiana, Juniper Berries, Cubeb Berries, Gentian Root and Deer's Tongue. The herbs are dressed with nine hoodoo love oils.
We can also inscribe the image of the 26th Mansion on a silver plate. I have chosen silver because it is the metal ruled by the Moon and is a generally acceptable precious metal for talismans. We then add the name of the Lord of the Mansion and cense it with the appropriate incense and make the appropriate invocation.

You can judge for yourself. Recently a student of mine wished to attract the favor of a high government official. Using the image of the 7th Mansion, Aldira, from my Mansions of the Moon Mini-Course he put this image on one side and a photograph of the offical on the other, creating this image and doing the appropriate ritual at the proper time.
That very day the official called him, after not speaking to him for two weeks. The official then visited, hired my student and within a week arranged for a large loan.
