This talisman is for magical invocation and secret knowledge. These are the Mage's Talisman, perfect for ceremonial magicians interested in increasing their ability, secret knowledge and the power of their invocations. TALISMAN BACK tinted version (enlarged) Not only are they made according to the image and the seals and sigils given by Hermes on the 15 Fixed Stars but these limited edition talismans were actually cast out of molten silver at a precisely elected time! You can see the actual chart of the making of these talismans below. Hermes on the 15 fixed stars says that the Pleiades talisman, "...protects the light of the eyes, gathers daimons and spirits of the dead to come and speak and makes [the wearer] to know of secret and hidden things." The Renaissance mage, Cornelius Agrippa says, "Under the constellation of Pleiades,they made the image of a little Virgin, or the Figure of a Lamp; its reported to increase the light of the eyes, to assemble Spirits,to raise Winds, to reveal secret and hidden things" Three Books of Occult Philosophy, Bk II, ch 47. On the front of the Pleiades talisman which you can see above to right is sigil of the Pleiades from Agrippa's Three Books of Occult Philosophy. On the back are the seven stars of the Pleiades cluster in their actual astronomical arrangement with their size according to their magnitude. Agrippa discusses the construction of rings for fixed stars using astrological magic and his instructions are applicable to talismans as well, "...when any star ascends fortunately, with the fortunate aspect or conjunction of the Moon...not omitting the inscriptions of images, names and characters, also the proper suffumigations..." I, Chapter 47 TALISMAN FRONT non-tint version (enlarged) Following these instructions the talismans were created at a precisely elected time, 9:42 pm MDT, September 19, 2008 for Boulder, Colorado the location of , our mage/jeweler. The Pleiades cluster rises and the Moon applies to conjoin the Ascendant and the Pleiades. I am pleased to offer beautiful silver talismans of Pleiades. The talismans are a bit less than a 1/2 ounce (12 grams) of sterling silver and are about an inch (22 mm) in diameter. They come in either a tinted version with black enamel background which you can see above or non-tint versions which you can see to right or left. Each talisman comes with a color Nigel Jackson image of the Pleiades for mediation and visualization as well as full consecration and ritual instructions. Only a very few of these talismans were made. They are unique and the timing of their election can never be replicated. These are not the usual mass produced pewter "talismans" but made from pure sterling silver.
