Election for Wealth, Fame and Magic

But why do we think Love is a Magician?
Because the whole power of Magic consists in Love.

Commentary on Plato's Symposium

Marsilio Ficino

This week I once again highlight what I consider to be one of the best days of the year for using Astrological Magic to create Astrological Talismans.
I provide a third election for April 14, 2002 when we have the Lesser Benefic Venus and the Moon strong, well placed and aspecting each other in a very positive and benefic fashion. You can take a look at the other two elections at Splendid Venus/Moon Talismans.

It's still not too late for the new Nigel Jackson Venus image, a detail of which appears above, in a paper version for $85. This includes a B&W .gif and a color .jpg image, a talisman holder and leather cord, an election customized for your location and instructions for the consecration ritual. You can Order here through PayPal.
As always you can do your own Venus or Moon talisman using the election provided below. For these elections you can use the tables, seals and characters of Venus found on the Venus Talisman page or those at the Moon Talisman page. Cornelius Agrippa says the Venus talisman,

"[P]rocureth concord, endeth strife, procureth the love of women [and men], conduceth to conception, is good against barreness, causeth ability for generation, dissolves enchantments, and causeth peace between men and women..."

and that the Moon table,

"[R]enders the bearer thereof grateful, amiable, pleasant, cheerful, honored, removing all malice, and ill will. It causeth security in a journey, increase of riches, and health of body, drives away enemies and other evil things from what place thou pleaseth..."

Cornelius Agrippa, Three Books of Occult Philosophy Bk. II, Chapter 22 (Tyson ed.) page 319.

At the elected time and date, April 14, 2002 at 2:33 pm EDT (+4) at Cleveland Park, a Washington, D.C. neighborhood, 38 N 56 77 W 03,
The Moon is in her exaltation, Taurus and face. Venus is dignified by being in sign and triplicity, as she is the day ruler of the earthy signs in Dorothean triplicity system.
The Moon applies to a conjunction with strong mutual reception by sign and exaltation of Venus. Both the Moon and Venus are conjunct the 10th house cusp. Venus is both the ruler and almuten of the 10th house.
Now as the Moon is ruler of the 12th generally one might wish to wait until Leo is on the cusp of the 12th. Recently though I have been elections for horse racing using John Partridge's Mikropanastron.
Partridge makes extensive use of the 12th ruler, usually acknowledged as the ruler of large animals to represent the horse bet on by the elector. Thus in this circumstance we would not avoid the 12th ruler and in fact, this would be an auspicious time for horse racing as a bestial sign, Leo, ascends and its ruler, the Sun, is dignified (if cadent in the 9th). It is also Sunday and the planetary hour ruled by the Sun.
Here is further information on Astrological Talismans and Astrological Magic. If you wish to delve even deeper into this fascinating area I offer an Astrological Magic Web Course as well as a traditional astrology and astrological magic discussion group Spiritus Mundi.
